Disabling a .ybn?

  • Is it possible to disable a .ybn file? I have a location I'd like to place an office in, but it would appear there's a .ybn in effect, blocking my passage. Is there a way to disable it (temporarily)?

  • @meimeiriver yes, its possible, you can make any ybn toggleable.
    To do it you need name of ybn you want to turn on/off and create empty ymap named test (for example but you can name it like you want) with values:

    <CMapData>
      <name>test</name>
      <parent/>
      <flags value="1"/>
      <contentFlags value="0"/>
      <streamingExtentsMin x="0.00000000" y="0.00000000" z="0.00000000"/>
      <streamingExtentsMax x="0.00000000" y="0.00000000" z="0.00000000"/>
      <entitiesExtentsMin x="0.00000000" y="0.00000000" z="0.00000000"/>
      <entitiesExtentsMax x="0.00000000" y="0.00000000" z="0.00000000"/>
      <entities/>
      <containerLods/>
      <boxOccluders/>
      <occludeModels/>
      <physicsDictionaries/>
      <instancedData>
        <ImapLink/>
        <PropInstanceList/>
        <GrassInstanceList/>
      </instancedData>
      <timeCycleModifiers/>
      <carGenerators/>
      <LODLightsSOA>
        <direction/>
        <falloff/>
        <falloffExponent/>
        <timeAndStateFlags/>
        <hash/>
        <coneInnerAngle/>
        <coneOuterAngleOrCapExt/>
        <coronaIntensity/>
      </LODLightsSOA>
      <DistantLODLightsSOA>
        <position/>
        <RGBI/>
        <numStreetLights value="0"/>
        <category value="0"/>
      </DistantLODLightsSOA>
      <block>
        <version value="0"/>
        <flags value="0"/>
        <name/>
        <exportedBy/>
        <owner/>
        <time/>
      </block>
    </CMapData>```

    And create _manifest with values:
    ```<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" standalone="no"?>
    <CPackFileMetaData>
      <MapDataGroups>
        <Item>
          <Name>test</Name>
          <Bounds>
            <Item>name of ybn here</Item>
          </Bounds>
          <Flags/>
          <WeatherTypes/>
          <HoursOnOff value="0"/>
        </Item>
      </MapDataGroups>
      <HDTxdBindingArray/>
      <imapDependencies/>
      <itypDependencies_2/>
      <Interiors/>
    </CPackFileMetaData>```
    Put both files in your dlc and now you can turn on/off your ybn by script (load/unload IPL with ``test`` name)
    Ive used menyoo for example cuz im not scripter:
    ```<IPLsToLoad load_mp_maps="true" load_sp_maps="false" >
    	<IPL>test</IPL>
    	</IPLsToLoad>```

  • @Dekurwinator ^^ This deserves 10 upvotes! :) Thank you very, very much! I had never thought of embedding the ybn into a MILO, so as you to be able to unload as an IPL. Brilliant! You're the man, as always!
