GTA Redux mod releases in two days

  • MODERATOR

    Thoughts?

Does anyone know if other mods can work at the same time if we use it? Like will i lose my in and out burger?

  • @DarthPungz

I guess its a matter of ones personal taste but to me that Redux graphics look too red and washed out.
Vanilla GTA5 looks better than that

+1 from me. I use decent IPS screens (at proper colour and brightness levels) and Vanilla GTAV looks streets ahead of any of these Reshade versions for me. Of course, the old saying "One man's meat" applies... some people like these things.

They seem to be okay for screenshots occasionally... I've tried a couple and they've generally lasted about five minutes before they get deleted.

  • Looks average at best..

  • One day left :black_heart:

  • @LeeC2202 What about VisualV?

  • @Think_Tank I didn't like that either. I installed it once and got massive FPS hits before I'd even got Reshade installed, then I had another go and installed the whole lot. It was on about five minutes, maybe ten, before I removed it all again.

Honestly, I haven't seen a single one do anything close to what they claim with their "realistic" this and their "enhanced" that. All they do is look different... not better, not realistic and most certainly not enhanced. And the ambient occlusion levels on some.. dear lord!

But... and this is the absolutely most important thing... people like them and people spend their time creating them. So I appreciate all the effort that it takes but on my screens at least, they all look worse than Vanilla. I have seen some really nice screenshots but we can all create nice screenshots if we really wanted to.

I have one of my installs now set up with ENB after a lengthy chat with turtlevan last night. He was telling me how to set the AA up with Nvidia Inspector... on top of that I have done my own tweaks to reflections/specularity through ENB and that's it, that's perfect for me.

The only other thing that is too high for me in the game is saturation levels, so I need to find a way to tone them down, without the use of any Reshade stuff. I could do it manually (or via a Photoshop script) on a per-texture level but that is seriously overkill and will never happen. I might be a glutton for punishment but not quite that much. :D
