Game Crashes anywhere near LSIA runways
-
Okay so i've been having this problem a few days now. i've started noticing that whenever i try to land a plane on any of the three LSIA runways my game crashes before i even get over the fences. I thought to myself it might be because i replaced textures in x64l.rpf so i replaced it with my vanilla file but still crashes. the launcher.log is the only log that matches up to the time of the crash, here it is: https://pastebin.com/cniCz6U8
Any help would be appreciated as i'm stumped. i'm running the most up to date patch, all my mods are up to date and i haven't added any new mods since the start of may

@Cyron43 @meimeiriver any ideas?
-
@Reacon That in- and outfile error sh*t again. I see this ever so much since the last update (I mean other ppl with that issue). Hopefully running the game as administrator helps it.
-
@Cyron43 i don't even know what the in out file means tbh, pretty much everyone of my crashes involve that
-
@Cyron43 also, it doesn't even say "gta v has stopped working" it just goes straight to the desktop

Me neither. I was just guessing some file was blocked from access due to a lack of rights. Sh*t I know this was solved somewhere around here. All I could do is to use the search function here and on google but that's nothing you couldn't do yourself and I guess you have tried that already?
-
@Cyron43 yeah, tried searching the error code and someone said there's worked by deleting some files in documents but didn't work
-
@Cyron43 i just replaced all my x64 rpf files(apart from x64e) with vanillas and it's still doing it. im literally clueless
-
@Cyron43 okay i narrowed it down to update.rpf, i'll let you know how i get on

... is what that log almost always says. It's the most useless game log ever constructed in the history of gaming!

@Reacon It takes very little to crash GTAV. Give you some advice here. If you are like me, I am ALWAYS adding and modifying things in my game. All the time, every day. When I am done, and fire up the game, I always worry that the game will crash because it is SO easy to inadvertently do something wrong when we are modding - it only takes ONE mistake somewhere, in what we are doing, to f shyt up! Even when we are really careful, things go wrong, and when they do, it can be difficult to pinpoint the cause, because of how much we do. Just Today, I started experiencing random crashes occurring with alarming regularity. Some of the crashes I nailed down to a pattern, and other's were too random to nail down to a pattern.
Obviously, when dealing with crashes, we are after finding a pattern. If the crashes happen when I am always doing this, is much easier to resolve than when they occur indiscriminately regardless of what I am doing OR where I am on the map.
For the reasons stated above, I create what I call a "Last Known Working Update" folder, and put that damn update folder in it. That way, if I fuck up modding my shit, I have something to fall back on, in case I cannot resolve any future issues I may have when modding my shit!

@eshenk I nearly broke my game replacing stuff in update.rpf lmao, I replaced the x64 folder with the vanilla and my game was like “nah” and said “failed zlib call” fixed that though.

Best to copy your vanilla update.rpf to mods too, and re-upload your custom dlclist.xml and gameconfig to it.

@meimeiriver yeah
-
@meimeiriver @Cyron43 @eshenk finally fixed it lol, turned out it was a problem with update.rpf/x64 then somewhere in the levels folder! Just left it vanilla cause I couldn’t be f**ked trying to find the exact file
-
@Reacon That's great to hear.

@Cyron43 at last i can go plane spotting again lmao
