Question about Gameconfig.xml
-
My first time using an account on this site but I am a long term gta4/5 mods lurker and user.
I was just wondering about this as I am not new to modding Grand theft auto, but I am new to modding GTA V. So here it goes, as of right now I have a decent bit of mods installed including NVR and a few others, so I installed Grand theft auto remaster and it said I had to use there Gameconfig.xml or it will crash, so I did. There is a few other mods that replace this like this one https://www.gta5-mods.com/misc/gameconfig-for-patch-1-0-757-2-update-at-each-r-update If I put the one from this it then overwrites the one for Grand theft auto remastered doesn't it? so if it does what lines of code should I change from each one or if not just let me know. Thanks.

@ANDREWF150 First off, I don't understand what you mean by "auto remaster". We have been in the "STEAM age" for so long now, why aren't people using Steam for their games is beyond my comprehension anymore. Steam games are so much easier to troubleshoot. You put yourself in a hole here, because "it has to use THEIR gameconfig" otherwise it crashes?!? Geezus man, what a bad move, LOL. This would severely limit your modding options BIG time. Also, I have to question that disclaimer because I think it was just a statement to protect against idiots who don't know what they are doing. Try this -

If this doesn't work, then well.....you're screwed!

Yea sorry man, I guess I typed that wrong. The gameworks fine right now and as for the grand theft auto remastered mod here h

I had to use their Gameconfig.xml or it would crash (as per the read me) and I am using the steam version. All I was asking was there are some mods that require you to use their Gameconfig.
