Issue with GTA Redux and Reshade
-
So on a fresh copy of GTA 5, I installed reshade to the mods folder. I ran it to test it out, everything was fine.
Then I installed reshade to GTA5.exe, and I dragged and dropped the reshade config files into my game folder.
I ran it to test it and the game crashed after I had loaded into the world, around 30 seconds after.
I have no idea whats wrong, its not my PC, which is more than capable of running the game with Redux installed, as I've had it installed before, so I don't know what is wrong.
The only mods installed are Script Hook V, Native Trainer, and Redux + Reshade. Reshade is installed into the mods folder.

Reshade is installed into the mods folder.
what do you mean it's installed into the mods folder? reshade automatically installs itself into the gta 5 directory not mods folder

Sorry, I meant Redux is installed in the mods folder. Reshade is installed via the installer.
-
Rename “dxgi.dll” (comes with reshade) to “d3d11.dll”
-
Ok let me try that and I'll say if it worked or not
-
That did not work, game still crashes like normal
Thanks for you help though, do you have any other ideas on what might be causing this problem?

I was just going to say the same thing. Reshade (like ENB et al.) belongs in the root folder of GTA V. In mods it would do absolutely nothing at all.
Rename “dxgi.dll” (comes with reshade) to “d3d11.dll”
That actually shouldn't be necessary. He should make sure to get a recent version of Reshade, though; there's quite a few older version hanging around (in distributed packages and such). Like:
ReShade version '3.1.1.243' (64-bit)
Then his enblocal.ini (or whatever uses Reshade) can just say:
ProxyLibrary=ReShade64.dll

Redux + Reshade
Also, get rid of Redux. It's all stolen crap anyway.

I don't actually have an enblocal file, do I need this?

Probably not, then. I don't use Redux (for reasons outlined above); but I bet it comes with some sort of ini, telling it to use Reshade (otherwise there would be no point installing it).

Well I decided against using Redux if its all stolen anyway. Why would I use a mod that is a blatent rip off of other peoples work? Thanks for letting me know.
I decided to go with Natural Vision instead, much more realistic and I can get about 70 fps with a great looking game.
Thanks for all the help, have a great day!

@ktrainbfs I like your thinking.
And NV doesn't strictly even require Reshade.

@meimeiriver yeah, its great!
