Confused about LSPDFR...
-
Let me start by just saying that I loooove LSPDFR version of GTA V.
However, I can't help but wonder how was it (is it) supposed to simulate law enforcement given that... you can still virtually do whatever you want when responding to an emergency.
Maybe I am missing some important plugin or component... You know, I am able to do all these cool traffic stops, arrest people etc. but LSPDFR has no mechanism that would evaluate whether a response on your part as an officer was appropriate, wrongful or outright brutal.
I can issue a 300$ citation to a random innocent person in the street and nothing will happen.
I can brethalyze a drunk driver and just let him go and still nothing will happen...
Was LSPDFR intended to work as a "Judge not lest ye be judged" modification whereas players themselves are invited to judge their own results?
I know that there are some plugins that actually give a player a notification on how their suspects' cases finished in a court of justice. However, as I understand LSPDFR does not have an evaluation mechanism like that on its own?

Well real life is not much different. Sadly it depends on skin color if police brutality is considered righteous. What I'm trying to say with this is, it's solely your own responsibility. You want to play as a cop in GTA V? Well then behave appropriately! BTW the NPC cops in GTA V are much too trigger happy compared to real life anyway. So it's up to you what's appropriate. You might as well obey the traffic rules if you're not on Code 3. VAutodrive can help you with this.

Hmmm... then it's all up to me and the jurisdiction I choose. Somewhat disappointing. LSPDFR deserves some kind of a scoring system. Non-race biased one too.
One thing I'd consider useful would be for a player to score, like, 20 points for arresting the suspect while only 3 when they could arrest them but chose to injure or kill them anyway. Even -30 if you kill someone for... skipping red light.
On the other hand, that would require adding a whole if-then scripting to each single callout, so I understand why it's not implemented yet... But maybe some day...

@TheMurderousCricket Not a bad idea. I suggest you ask for a plugin over at the LSPDFR forum.

@TheMurderousCricket what plugins you got? I don’t play lspdfr but I know that one of them adds courts etc
