Alexander Blade might be done with ScripthookV. Back up these files before the nightclub update comes out.

  • These are the files and their locations you need to backup if you are using Steam.

    GTA5.exe
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Grand Theft Auto V

    GTAVLanguageSelect
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Grand Theft Auto V

    GTAVLauncher
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Grand Theft Auto V

    Social-Club-Setup
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Grand Theft Auto V\Installers

    Social-Club-v1.1.9.6-setup
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Grand Theft Auto V\Installers

    steam_api64.dll
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Grand Theft Auto V

And the entire original update folder (specifically update.rpf)
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Grand Theft Auto V\update

Yes, they need to be your files or else the game will think it has been pirated.

    EDIT:
Before you reinstall those files after the update, make sure you backup the new versions of all the files above in its own backup folder.

  • Thanks buddy. I already backup everything. Probably Alexander is done with ScriptHook.

  • If so I hope he releases the source code. Pretty stupid to have another GTA IV situation on our hands if you ask me.

  • @cp1dell Don't know why peeps think this -

Comment on the ScriptHookV Twitter page earlier today "Hey guys, sorry for the big break, but we're back! For questions about ScriptHookV, direct message us for support." https://twitter.com/ScriptHookVSup

  • Well good to know all is well.

  • @eshenk Is that an official page? I doubt it is, because the tweet says "we will be back" when Dev-c.com is Alexander's personal website; there is no "we". I also doubt it because I doubt Alexander would misspell his own mod. Also I remember a while back that the OpenIV team said they are the only ones with contact with Alexander and that he doesn't have any other ways of communicating out, or something like that (he obviously still has his GTAForums account, and his website).

  • Well, his website has just been available again.
But definitely backup is highly recommended work for everything.
Because nobody knows whether he continues releasing updates or not.

  • For this issues is important our support to Alex Blade, Crosire and OpenIV team, they are the main column of GTA V modding. Consider donate any buck to their donations buttons, and people who can't offer money, always can give Ads prints just viewing their web sites few times per week.

Crosire's ScriptHookVDotNet is a completely separate project. It's also open source and he frequently reviews pull requests, so that's nothing to worry about.

  • im wondering what to do since scripthook is dead i dont know how to run scripts now

    @gair
ScriptHookV is not dead. No idea what brought you onto that idea.

  • Oh god, another "update".. I can't remember but when does this dumb nightclub dlc come out? I am skipping this update, GTAV is already too bloated for me. Got my game backed up. Hopefully the update and swap trick works on steam for days to come. Update the game through steam, then delete the updated one and drop the previous updated game in the steam directory. So steam thinks it is updated but really its the previous title update. I hope that trick continues to work, I am just tired of always re-installing my mods to my game. Plus the more "updates" they do, my game runs slightly worse than the previous update.

  • The site is back online. Now stop that apocalypse crap! http://www.dev-c.com/gtav/scripthookv/
