Texture of car alternates very frequently depending on camera angle>!!
-
Hi, I've only installed NVR on a clean gta v with LA ROADS + LA Billboards and then I get this weird alternating car texture depending on the position of the camera.
As I move the camera the car texture switches and alternates between 3 different textures.
I only noticed this happening recently and it wasn't there before am not sure its due to a recent update or what but so far it only happens with Penumbra car and not with other vehicles.
Thanks in advance , any kind of help is really appreciated.

Sounds different to the usually NVR texture issues but I'll have a guess.Idea 01: 'NVR_emissive' dlc should only be causing texture issues if you have replaced the Penumbra etc with another vehicle but you could try removing the 'NVR_emissive' DLC anyway & see if that fixes it? (remove entry from 'dlclist.xml' or go into 'NVR_emissive's 'textures.rpf' & remove the vehiclenamehere.ytd's that are causing conflicts/bugs or alternatively use the NVR Vehicle Emissive Textures uninstaller (in NVR download) to uninstall the 'NVR_emissive' dlc)
Idea 02: My second guess would be some kind of 'vehshare.ytd' mismatch/conflict. Ideally you want all your 'vehshare.ytd' files in your 'mods' folder to be the same file (that contains all the textures the game & various mods etc need). If you have multiple different 'vehshare.ytd' you would ideally want to import/combine all the different textures into one 'vehshare.ytd' (without overwriting any vital textures) & use that in every 'vehshare.ytd' location in your 'mods' folder (& pray you don't have 2 different textures of the same name required by 2 different mods you consider essential).
Best of luck, let me know how you get on & if any new info comes to light

@a63nt-5m1th Thanks dude you are awesome, your 1st guess was correct I just edited dlclist and removed the line that is responsible for adding NVR_emissive dlc and it fixed it.
Does that mean its a bug with NVR conflicting with the new update of gta? as I installed it on a clean copy. If so might as
well let the author know about it so that he fixes it in the next update
I've also included a gif of the problem above to get a better picture of the issue.

I had a look in the NVR comments & others (including yourself) have been mentioning the purple texture flickering after installing the new update so I reckon your idea of NVR conflicting with the new update of gta is a good one
People have been removing 'patchday19' and 'mpbattle' to resolve the issue but the best solution (without losing 'patchday19' and 'mpbattle') is to remove NVR_emissive line from dlclist.xml as you have done or remove offending '.ytd's from NVR_emissive 'textures.rpf'.
Glad you got it working

@a63nt-5m1th yeah I see this too now doing a fresh install of mods on the latest GTA V patch. Glad this is a known issue.
What does this emissive line that you suggest to remove do with the game? What do we miss out on by removing it?

@tuff253
The author (Razed) says this about NVR_emissive:• "Modified a handful of stock vehicle textures to improve the taillight emissive color and intensity of vanilla vehicles (*WIP)"
These are subtle edits to the default textures. Nothing major. You will be hard pushed to notice the difference. Think of them like Razed putting some finishing touches on NVR. Your game will still look great without them & nothing will be obviously missing
-
@a63nt-5m1th Ah thanks for clarifying.
I may wait it out and see if he can sort it out rather than doing edits but at least it is good to know it's a minor solution for the fix. Cheers

@Razed stated in a next release he'll move parts of NVR like these to optional
-
@a63nt-5m1th Yeah NVR caused purple flickering for me as well
