Help getting floodlights to work

Hello 5mods community. I am trying to use a couple of extras on my add on mod as floodlights but I can't seem to figure it out. My research has revealed that I have to use carcols.meta along with the carvariations.meta but I can't find any tutorial that explain the steps in detail. I would really appreciate if anyone can help me out... Thanks
