Is it possible for a replace car to a addon?

There is some great car mods out there but some good ones are replace-only. Is it possible for them to convert to a addon car?

Basically turning a replacement model into Add-on is done by using an empty dlc.rpf template and the lines from the meta files from the replace version and renaming the vanilla modelname and txdname like buffalo2 to addoncar2 or something like that in both vehicles.meta and carvariations.meta
Turning cars with tuning from replace to addon is more difficult and requires you first have better understanding of the meta files and what they do
