Need some Recommendations of best mods that alter the following....



  • Hi,

    As the title says, I want some recommendations of the best realistic mods out there in your opinion that alters the following aspects of the game that are not outdated and are stable :-

    • Realistic car suspension/top speeds/acceleration & car/vehicle physics in general as well as damage/deformations.
    • Realistic Blood effects such as wounds/splats/drips/bootprints/pools etc.
    • Realistic explosion effects/fire/dirt and such.

    if there are any other realistic mods in your mind that are worth mentioning please let me know however the ones listed above are the most ones am looking for.

    • Ripplers Realism V
    • World of Variety

    Realistic car suspension/top speeds/acceleration & car/vehicle physics in general as well as damage/deformations.

    Realistic Driving V is a good one. As for damage/deformation, it can make deformation more serious, but nothing exists to make deformation like Wreckfest/BeamNG/iRacing.

    Realistic Blood effects such as wounds/splats/drips/bootprints/pools etc.

    There are some gore/blood effects mod, check the screens to see which ones you prefer. imho ZippoRaid's one takes it a bit too much to Quentin Tarantino levels. Doesn't Ripplers Realism V have it already?

    Realistic explosion effects/fire/dirt and such.

    LeeC2202 had a great vehicle effects mod but he left the scene. Eddlm made an alternative VisualFX which looks nice. As for the textures themselves, I haven't looked into 'em.

    It depend if you want it for vanilla cars of replaced/addon cars. I favour realistic handling for each car separately. It is the hell hard work to replace them one by one but I think it would be most realistic, because every car would have much different stats depends on authors materials how realistic handling of that car would look like. When you use mode or script to change all, it would make similar changes for most vehicles handling files. And improve them all in same way, but one by one you can make big difference between SUV and compact for example and make it more realistic.

    Realistic Blood effects such as wounds/splats/drips/bootprints/pools etc.

    There is more good mods for it but my base favour which I'm using in GTA V REAL is this 4K Blood , it is high graphic but it don't look so much as the texture over the floor - let's say as 'ketchup' as some 4K blood mods looks like :grin:

    Realistic explosion effects/fire/dirt and such.

    If I'm right VisualFX is ot for explosions. It's great mode for dust trail for example but not improving explosions. Anyway again my favour which I'm using in GTA V REAL is Ripplers Realism which you already have. For dirt for example I recommend 4K dirt.

    First of all as the @Reacon told I strongly recommend RCA, but to name all realistic mods it would be whole book of mods :grin: there is lot of mods for many realistic details from game behavior, game look to character behavior and when you decide to go for so details, you will meet up much mods using the same files, so have to manualy find changed lines and edit it by yourself. I'm working on GTA V REAL now few months with 26GB of downloaded mods content and still have lot of work to be done (but most of it are just vehicles which you are not looking for I think).

    Hope this info helps you a little bit to make little view for mods you are looking for :smirk:



  • @Reacon According to my knowledge is that L.A Billboard 4.0 is a massive pack including R.C.A & Venice beach and several other mods put together, its stated in the mod's description. But thanks for the suggestion :D

    @ikt Thanks for all the recommendations, will check them out. Nope what I know is that Ripplers Realism alters weapons and impacts but not blood related effects.

    @ArmaniAdnr Yea it does sound like a lot of work but I do favor realism as well so I might just do it :D.

    Ikt suggested the same mod as well, sounds like a good mod though I never heard of it before so will
    definitely check it out.

    RCA is included in the massive L.A Billboard pack that I already installed so just go for that instead.

    Yea I know its not possible to list all realistic mods out there XD but just thought about creating a topic to
    see what other mods people might be using that am not aware of.

    Am creating my own vehicles dlcpacks as well aside from this but damn 26GB (mostly vehicles) am not even close to that hahaha. Btw according to your knowledge does handling affect the car's suspension as well or only alters speeds acceleration and such?

    depend on what I see in .ytd 4k blood bangs, blood pool, but not glass resistant, tyre decal nor bullet bangs...footprints are only 1024x512 files too

    I'm not sure if everyone thing is there, I think some are not, I am using both LA and RCA haha

    Yes, handling affect whole vehicle behavior, speed, suspension, damage, roling up points etc. Everything what is behavior of car as itself, but not behavior of player to the vehicle. Only subhandling info is sometime linked to vehicle.meta info (for example using of vehicle weapons), but everything what you see in handling except subhandling section change the behavior of vehicle.
