Retail version (non-Steam, new, unmodded) does not have GTAV.exe or update.rpf

I am trying to get into modding GTAV. I own a box-set, retail version of which I have not changed or added anything yet. I was looking into installing OpenIV and I see that there is no GTAV.exe. My programs files have PlayGTAV.exe. As well, in the updates folder there is only one thing, another folder labelled x64. I looked in there but there is no update.rpf.
How do other people with a retail, non-Steam version mod their game?

Reinstall it or look up how to verify game files for disc version
