How do I fix this glitch?

  • This should be fairly simple, yet I'm at a loss.

By installing NaturalVision Remastered, three vehicles have glitched colors, namely the Maibatsu Penumbra Sports, Karin Futo Sports and Imponte Ruiner Muscle. They've become an odd purple and the color flickers to other colors depending on the angle I look at them.

How do I go about changing the default spawn color for only these cars, to maybe fix this glitch. Or otherwise, is there a way to replace the textures of just these cars to the original textures?

  • @Blatman
Delete the 'NVR_emissive' dlc folder &/or remove the entry for it in 'dlclist.xml'.
Alternatively go into the folder using OpenIV & delete the '.ytd's for the problem vehicles.
By all accounts it should only happen if you have replaced the vehicles. Vanilla vehicles should work fine with the NVR_Emissive textures.
Deleting the folder/textures will cause no harm. The game will just fall back to vanilla textures

Thanks a lot! That did the trick. I used the 'NVR Vehicle Emissive Textures DLC' uninstaller that comes with the mod.

I haven't replaced any vehicles, but perhaps that's included in the NVR mod. Aside from NVR, the only mods I have is one to keep vehicles turned on when you exit them and another mod to increase the volume of car speakers when you're not inside them.

I will update my knowledge base accordingly (affects vanilla vehicles also it looks like). It doesn't sound like it should have been caused by any of the other mods you mention. The weird textures (purple/changing colours etc) is a sign of a texture conflict ('.ytd's of same name contain different textures).
Glad you got it working
