Random crashing on loading single player

  • I'm having problems with random crashing. Some times my game will work just fine other times it will crash when I try to load single player. If I delete a mod or two or replace my modifed update.rpf clean one. Then it start up normally for awhile but then it starts to crash again. It just happened a a again with a clean update.rpf and got this message from the "visual studio just in time debuger" "An unhandled Microsoft .NET framework exception occurred in GTA5.exe [7488]..."

  • To further add to the weirdness the mod set up that crash the game last night worked fine when I started the game this afternoon.

  • I fixed this exact problem with, and that may hurt right now, installing all OpenIV Mods again, or simply said: I deleted my Mods folder

  • @NachoPuncher Thanks! I'll give that a try.

  • Well that didn't work, I deleted the mod folder completely and the crash on loading single player is still happening. I tried to repair Mircosoft.net and it didn't help either. If I restart my computer the game will launch with mods fine, if I quite the game and try to restart it, the game will crash, try it again with no changes and it starts just fine. shurg

  • @killerbee256 Can you have a read of this https://forums.gta5-mods.com/topic/13256/how-to-ask-for-help-and-support/5 and reply to let me know what system you are running, what game version, what mods you have installed or had installed etc :)

  • It kind of a mute point until script hook v is updated, but here we go:
    Windows 7 64
I have gta 5 on steam so the current version, I had to pair down my mods while I tired to bug hunt:
    EnableMPCars
    NativeTrainer
    OpenInteriors
    MMI-SP
    iFruitAddon2
    ScriptHookVDotNet2
    Menyoo
    Advanced Bodyguards
    GangAndTurfMod
    SHVDN-Extender
    NativeUI

It's not installed right now, but I like to have Southern San Andreas Exotic Traffic installed.

  • @killerbee256 Southern San Andreas Exotic Traffic could be the issue as I think that edits gameconfig which likely was not and definitely is not compatible with the new gameconfig version out today. (I may be wrong)

  • @UnknownSoldier I was having the problem before the patch, and with out Southern San Andreas Exotic Traffic installed. Anymore bug hunting will have to wait until script hook v is updated.

  • I think I tracked it down, it seems to be NativeUI.dll
