Why can't I shop in the single player game for addon peds character?

So I created a character in the mod menu and I want him to be able to shop in a single game. Tell me what to do.

Because single-player is specifically tailored for only the three protagonists to interact with the world such as making purchases, using ATMs, etc.

You can probably interact with store personnel with the CharacterSwap mod; but trying to wear those clothes will either do nothing, or crash your game.
P.S. I don't think your question deserved a downvote, really. It was just a regular, legit inquiry.
