making a cap, approximately what (lowpoly model) should i aim for?
a lot of people will rant about how 3DS max only supports lower poly models for export, I'm here to say, that's 100% false, I've worked with 100k+ polygon models, although it's not advised, unless you have a good PC. If you feel that your model's topologization is too high, use the "ProOptimizer" modifier.
KEEP THE UV BOUNDARIES AND TEXTURES
It works using a vertex percentage, the smaller percentage, the smaller percentage of quality, but lower polygon count.
