Replacing ped models just doesn't work

I'm running the latest version of GTA 5 (1493.1)
I've been having problems with every mod I've tried to install that replaces peds. The latest one I tried to install was this: https://www.gta5-mods.com/player/fib-swat-and-swat-addon-and-or-replacement#description_tabI followed all the directions within the readme. Whenever I load into the game and SWAT spawn in, their models are always messed up. They don't have the correct helmets and they don't have their vests, and sometimes they have silver-colored faces. This keeps happening every time I try to replace the SWAT models. What am I doing wrong?
