ASI manger just blank white screen and direct x 12 is installed??!! Please help

Hello for the last 8 hours I've been moving files around to see what is what. On my pc theres Direct x 12 with all the necessary requirements but once i download a car then follow the readme text file directions i get to a problem. Can add the folder in update but once i add a text into Dlclist the game dont load. Go to my other game folder the game loads just fine.

So at this point I've just copy the files back over from backup folder to get the game back running. Did they patch this to not work or what else can i try to add cars.? Any suggestions please

Okay, take a deep breath and look at what you wrote down.

Good thing you spent some time, but it's unwise to actually move files to see what happens, unless you know what you're doing and you have backups.

GTA V only requires DirectX 11 (or DirectX 10.1) to run, nowhere is DirectX 12 needed.

Mods (almost) never depend on a DirectX version, especially simple scripts and vehicle mods. You don't need DirectX 12.

Good, you have two game folders. And the game stops loading once you edit dlclist.xml.

Also great, you have backups. Sounds like you haven't figured out what is what yet, so you might want to start reading some starter guides.

For you, you'll want to focus on the OpenIV part. To me it sounds like you just need OpenIV.asi to add add-on cars, but you also might want to take a look at the mods folder method of doing things.

Openiv not working so i had use a different way to get basics mods to work.

Openiv would be handy if the program didn't have a blank screen to install plugin, so i downloaded 2 other mod programs on here to get some of them to load.
