Late Load modded cars
-
It's a little annoying but some of my modded car replacements have a very short distance load-in. You can see just the driver floating in mid air in the driving position and then the car itself just pops in.
I'm running GTAV on an SSHD, brand spankin' new, so all the loading times are quicker and I'd assume that affected texture load-in as well. Another thing, the game flickered randomly too. Just for a split second, the car with Franklin driving were unaffected but everything else just went a bit coo-coo for cocoa-puffs.
Is there a setting I should adjust?
AMD 8350 4.3GHZ
32 Gigs 1866mhz ram
GTX1080 FE
All settings maxed out high/ultra 57-60 fps average.

@GetTheClicker It happens when the modded cars don't have no LODs.
Open vehicles.meta in the dlc.rpf,
Go to
Change all values to 500.000000
You wouldn't notice the performance impact
-
Oh.... it's so simple! Should I use the example you've posted?
-
@GetTheClicker It's the default LOD values of all cars, you can change the first four values to 500,000000, then see what happens.

Have you turned on V-sync? It removes the flickering.

I am using vsync, just a rare bug that flickered. It's not screen tear. The 1080 is supporting 3 tv's with separate resolutions...
1366x768 and 1920x1080

@GetTheClicker You have a GTX 1080 FE and you are playing with 1366×768? Get a 4K monitor
-
I know, 4k is where it's at but I can only afford the super nice things around tax time. This year it was the card, next year it will be the 4K tv.

@GetTheClicker Cool.
