Lost tuning options on Vacca after installing IVPack

  • Help me please. After installing the add-on IVPack - GTA IV vehicles in GTA V, the tuning on Pegassi Vacca was gone. As I understand it, there is an addon conflict with vanilla cars. How to fix this bug?

    • go into IVPack dlc.rpf and open carcols.meta and carvariations.meta
    • modkit_ID's should be higher than 362 to avoid conflicts with vanilla modkits
    • you can check what modkit ID the vanilla Vacca has by navigating to your own update.rpf and searching 'vacca_modkit' in carcols.ymt

    so I did this just now and don't see a potential conflict there?

    could it be you have more add-on vehicles?

    vacca has 74_vacca_modkit with modkit_ID value 78 and IVPack uses modkit_ID's in range 362 - 389

  • @ReNNie

    In the vanilla version of the car is displayed. But when you do tuning, then the textures of the spoilers and carbon bonnet are not displayed on it

    How sure are you that it worked correctly right before installing IVPack? When was the last time you drove it before installing IVPack & have you installed any other vehicles between then & IVPack?

    I ask as I have disabled the upgrades on the vanilla Vacca as it was causing problems for me with add-on cars & no f**king number in the world would fix it's Modkit ID. I tried what felt like hundreds but every single one of them would cause a conflict even when there was no reason they should have.
    I even removed vehicles (after confirming their modkit ID worked for them), gave it to Vacca...broken :/ every time... so I just set it's modkitID to '0' & forgot about it.
    I'm aware this won't be of much use to you but thought I'd mention it as there might be something funky going on with that car.

  • I'm sure Vacca worked correctly. I checked the possibilities of tuning with the wiki. I did not put other addons on cars. Problems arose after installing the addon, not only with vacca, but also with Infernus and Comet.

  • @Pronenko125
    Having another quick look at IVPack I think it might be that they have forgotten to include the upgrades for a few vehicles (Vacca anyway) or they got the names of those parts wrong. Nuggets! :slight_smile: (Note: I'm only teasing).

    Example:

    Vanilla 'carcols.ymt':

            <Item>
              <modelName>vac_spoil_2</modelName>
              <modShopLabel>MNU_WING3</modShopLabel>
              <linkedModels/>
              <turnOffBones/>
              <type>VMT_SPOILER</type>
              <bone>chassis</bone>
              <collisionBone>chassis</collisionBone>
              <cameraPos>VMCP_DEFAULT</cameraPos>
              <audioApply value="1.00000000"/>
              <weight value="0"/>
              <turnOffExtra value="false"/>
              <disableBonnetCamera value="false"/>
              <allowBonnetSlide value="true"/>
            </Item>
            <Item>
              <modelName>vac_spoil</modelName>
              <modShopLabel>MNU_WING8</modShopLabel>
              <linkedModels/>
              <turnOffBones/>
              <type>VMT_SPOILER</type>
              <bone>chassis</bone>
              <collisionBone>mod_col_1</collisionBone>
              <cameraPos>VMCP_DEFAULT</cameraPos>
              <audioApply value="1.00000000"/>
              <weight value="0"/>
              <turnOffExtra value="false"/>
              <disableBonnetCamera value="false"/>
              <allowBonnetSlide value="true"/>
            </Item>

    'vac_spoil' & 'vac_spoil_2' exist in the game here:

    ...\mods\x64i.rpf\levels\gta5\vehiclemods\vacca_mods.rpf

    IVPack 'carcols.ymt':

            <Item>
              <modelName>vacca_spoiler</modelName>
              <modShopLabel>MNU_WING8</modShopLabel>
              <linkedModels/>
              <turnOffBones/>
              <type>VMT_SPOILER</type>
              <bone>chassis</bone>
              <collisionBone>mod_col_1</collisionBone>
              <cameraPos>VMCP_DEFAULT</cameraPos>
              <audioApply value="1.00000000"/>
              <weight value="0"/>
              <turnOffExtra value="false"/>
              <disableBonnetCamera value="false"/>
              <allowBonnetSlide value="true"/>
              <weaponSlot value="-1"/>
              <weaponSlotSecondary value="-1"/>
              <disableProjectileDriveby value="false"/>
              <disableDriveby value="false"/>
              <disableDrivebySeat value="-1"/>
              <disableDrivebySeatSecondary value="-1"/>
            </Item>
            <Item>
              <modelName>vacca_spoiler2</modelName>
              <modShopLabel>MNU_WING3</modShopLabel>
              <linkedModels/>
              <turnOffBones/>
              <type>VMT_SPOILER</type>
              <bone>chassis</bone>
              <collisionBone>chassis</collisionBone>
              <cameraPos>VMCP_DEFAULT</cameraPos>
              <audioApply value="1.00000000"/>
              <weight value="0"/>
              <turnOffExtra value="false"/>
              <disableBonnetCamera value="false"/>
              <allowBonnetSlide value="true"/>
              <weaponSlot value="-1"/>
              <weaponSlotSecondary value="-1"/>
              <disableProjectileDriveby value="false"/>
              <disableDriveby value="false"/>
              <disableDrivebySeat value="-1"/>
              <disableDrivebySeatSecondary value="-1"/>
            </Item>

    'vacca_spoiler' & 'vacca_spoiler2' do NOT exist ANYWHERE in the game or in IVPack 1.0.210 (the download I used to test this).

    I expect the other vehicles are the same. Someone was half way through finishing & forgot to add the parts or input the names incorrectly etc. It's easy enough to do when you are dealing with lots of vehicles & you don't document your progress. Schoolboy error tut tut :slight_smile: (teasing again :thumbsup:)
    I would just change the names/revert parts of vacca carcols (& any other cars with missing parts) back to default (make backup etc). You'll just have to point their mistake out to them & hopefully get them to fix it. :thumbsup:
    I would make a backup of your installed IVPack 'carcols.ymt', revert to the vanilla carcols & just check that it fixes the problem/s? That way you eliminate a modKit ID conflict or some other problem. You can revert back after etc & set the broken cars to vanilla settings etc

  • I replaced vanilla 'carcols.ymt' and the problem disappeared. thanks for the help

  • @Pronenko125
    Nice one :slight_smile: Cheers for letting us know :thumbsup:

    Note: If IVPack made any changes to their 'carcols.ymt' that do actually work you will have lost them in going back to the vanilla file. Ideally you want to manually merge the files so you get the best of both worlds.
    Basically, copy the vanilla sections for the broken cars from the vanilla 'carcols.ymt' & overwrite the equivalent in the IVPack 'carcols.ymt' & then save & install the file :thumbsup:
