"Setting.SetValue" doesn't work.

I've been developing a mod for the past weeks and I've stumbled across an immensely annoying bug. I created an INI. file and used it to save values through my script but apparently it doesn't work in one place. I've used the same code as in all other cases, didn't forget the "Settings.Save();" but it just doesn't replace the value in the external file!
