Please help with area spawning

I was watching typical gamer play his mod and none of the areas he goes to are the same for me. I cant find any bases or any actual objectives. Im just like walking around in infected los santos with nothing to actually do. The mod itself works great but how do you get objectives and the actual areas on your map/in game. I still just see regular gta objectives and still have all my weapons.
