Is there a way to revert back to a previous version of GTA so that I can use mods in single player?

With the new update for the RC car I know have to wait for a new script hook to come out. Is there a way to revert GTA 5 back so I can go back and keep using my mods in single player while I wait for a new script hook?

I believe you can automatically revert to a previous version if you have Rage Plugin installed.

Does not work for me just says to verify with steam and I do and then it does first time launch stuff and still says scripthook V is out of date for game version...

Oh, I'm sorry to hear this @GTALawEnforcer. But then again, I know nothing about Steam (which, apparently, seems to be genuinely different from retail) so I can't help you with this.

@GTALawEnforcer Did you at least save a copy of your update.rpf before you updated? If you did, then it is easy to downgrade. It is pretty easy to get all the old files you need from steam to revert to 1604. First remove all mods. Verify file integrity through Steam. Then you will need to access Steam Console to download the 1604 files. Then set up a firewall to block Steam or Social club or whichever to keep from wanting to update, you'll have to google it like I did for exact info on this step. Then change to offline mode in Steam. Then remove the update 1604.1 files and insert the 1604 files you downloaded from Steam. Then insert your old update.rpf ... not having your old update.rpf will not get your game back to where you can use mod in my experience. That's what I ended up having to do when the new update came out because I didn't know any better and I didn't bother finding out everything I needed to copy before updating. Now I know to wait next time for SHV before updating.
