A way to make SP model mods into MP model mods?

New to this so bear with me. I want to take an MX helmet for franklin and use it on a male MP freemode model. Is there a way I can just take the helmet files and put it where ever itll work to get it for the MP model? Or does it go beyond that with specific file types and 3d modeling changes etc
