Game crashes at loading screen

So I downloaded open iv, installed the asi loader and also installed scripthookv and scripthookvdotnet. I launch GTA 5 and play for a bit then quit, when I go to load the game again later it crashes at the loading screen and the only way to get it to work again is to uninstall all mods and reinstall them. Also if I go into openiv and install the asi plugin or install visualv it will crash at the loading screen. Does anyone have any ideas as to what could be going on? Any help is appreciated.

I had exact same problem once. In my case, getting rid of the entire scripts folder and "replanting" scripts + mods anew helped.
Later I traced the problem to one .dat file which I forgot to update after R*'s update. But the symptoms were just like you described. Being able to launch the game, but just once - no loading or reloading game files possible! Why... it even crashed after "wasted" screens.

@ryanb679 - Okay, my bad, it was "pedaccuracy.meta" file (not .dat). I forgot to rewrite it and the game would run but just at first loading. Note, however, that this file is not even present in the original game. It is a part of a modification.

@TheMurderousCricket So I just fired up the game for the first time today and it loaded fine, I played for awhile then quit out and restarted and it crashed at the loaded screen. I am at a loss, don' t under stand why it loads sometimes and not others.

Try using a different gameconfig and see what happens.

i could only play when i delete my dinput8 but when i throw it in the main directory it says "GTA V exited unexpectedly" Anyone help please!

I've got the game working normally but now my problem is when I try to install a custom gameconfig file, I get the "out of game memory" message at the loading screen and it crashes.

@ryanb679 - Sorry for the late reply, but I had no time for the forum.
The pedaccuracy.meta is not a part of original game, so you won't find it anywhere. I mentioned it only as an example that an outdated file can effectively prevent your game from loading properly.
