please help some mods when i download them they would turn into a notepad file

Some mods file sizes are too big for the site, so the download you get from here might be a text document with a web address that will take you to the site to actually download the mod. Of course, the mods I have downloaded like that were pretty good in telling people in the description that was what is happening.
