How to disable lights for tuning bumper ?
-
@NajPotez Ok thanks 👍
-
-
@Theoasterix ...Ok, now try this: Click on last one, "extralight_2 [COL]", press and HOLD left Ctrl, and check all your "[COL]s" in there fom bottom up. Last one "bumper_f [COL]". All 4 parts should be highlited yellow. Now click on "Group" - you will have now just "bumper_f [COL]", but underilined.
Now...uncheck "L0", and everything but "COL". Convert "bumper_f [COL]" to Compound. If you did everything right you will notice some lines as corners around it. That should be it.
-
@NajPotez Yes I did it I just ungrouped to show the parts on the picture. But I grouped the parts and converted the col, but in game it doesn't change
-
@Theoasterix Can you also make snap of grouped collision, please?
-
-
@Theoasterix It is hard to see what is wrong... Are all collision parts reset to parent?
-
@NajPotez Yes. I don't know if it is normal, but now the bumper_f doesn't have anything in "user defined options"
-
@Theoasterix Yes.. that is normal, I think. You can maybe try to make just simple grouped collision for bumper, make just two parts and and group it and see what happens. Your glass will not crash, but (so far as I remember dealing with it) all parts inside your bumper should turn off with your bumper bone... I am so sorry - I want this to be solved almost same as you. I know it can be, because I did it with some of my mods. For your tuning bumper, also, try to change collision bone to chassis ( if it is not)... just don't give up yet:)
-
@NajPotez I also checked my mods to be sure, in carcols it should be enaugh just to turn off bumper_f bone.
-
@NajPotez In carcols I put the lights in turnoffbones, and the bumper of course.
-
@NajPotez I think I did a mistake in Zmodeler, because in OpenIV, when I watch the collision of the bumper it looks like this. But when I look to your Renault 8 yft, the col looks like this. If the cols aren't colored on mine, I think it's because I missed something
-
@Theoasterix yes, because round parts are set as glass to break, ID121 , and flags 3and4. That is why openIV shows it in diferent color. But try first what I wrote you earlier , make just simple grouped collision for bumper, make just two parts and and group it (you can split bumper collision in two parts and group it again), you want your bumper collision with shown corners around it... leave all other things for now. You just want bumper to be removed with everything in it for now. Later you can go for breakable parts if you like.
-
@NajPotez Yes but I'm sure I missed Something in Zmodeler. Maybe I should "Copy local axes" from bumper to bumper col ? Because the axes aren't at the same place...
-
@Theoasterix Yes you should, for all parts. That is what I ment... "Reset all collison parts to parent".
That means all parts will have axes same place as bumper.
-
@NajPotez I changed the axes of the collision, let's see if this works
-
-
@Theoasterix Well, maybe you can just reorganize it. Maybe not to call it "extralights" and "indicators", but "miscs". So far as lights ID are correct it will work. Indicators work fine with right ID even if they are miscs. Just don't crash without collision parts.
-
@NajPotez I Don't think it could change something, since the glasses, that are defined as windows, don't disappear.
-
@Theoasterix you don't need glasses as windows. You can link glasses with lights as child... you do not need so many things. Keep materials, it will be all right.
-
@NajPotez Could I ask you something in PM ? (This is related to this topic)
-
Maybe this can help
-
You can also orginize it
-
@NajPotez That's strange, I did exactly same as the 2nd video but it doesn't work
-
@Theoasterix Sometimes the hierarchy does things. Try to change the order in the hierarchy and see what happens
