GTAV Modded Launcher 2.2

So after following countless tutorials on youtube and from the creator's readme included in the program, I can't even get the thing to launch GTAV. It keeps telling me that it can't update the game, even when I've disconnected my internet.
I'm sat here dumbfounded at what to do, any smart ones out there able to help me out? I bought the game off steam if that helps.
