Scripts not loading
I'm running the latest version of GTA V (version 1.0.1604.1) and I've updated scripthookv and scripthookvdotnet but I don't have any logs. Reason being is they haven't loaded any scripts in my GTA V even though they have been placed in the scripts folder.
I've tried uninstalling the scripts, scripthookv and dot net and reinstalling them but nothing seems to work. Could I have urgent assistance please?
Two copies of the game installed?
If so, open a 'Run' command (Windows button+R) & type 'regedit' > '[OK]' & then move to this location:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Rockstar Games\Grand Theft Auto V]
& confirm the folder path in the 'InstallFolder' entry is correct for the version you are trying to get to work? If it's not correct, change it to the folder path of the version you are trying to get Scripthook to work with & that should fix it.
If you do indeed have 2 copies installed & you want an easy way to hop between both versions I detail a way to do it using registry files here.
If you have only the one install then I'm not sure. Start by making sure you have all the dependencies for the scripthook files installed & also make sure all '.asi' files & '.dll' are unblocked in Windows (right-click file > 'Properties' > Hit the '[Unblock]' button (if it's visible). If there is no '[Unblock]' button, the file is most likely unblocked already so move on to the next one & check it).
@a63nt-5m1th I'll give it a shot and see how it goes. I appreciate your time and assistance 👍
@a63nt-5m1th I've done that and I have installed visual studio and microsoft .net framework. Is there anything else I need to do?
- Do you have one version of the game installed or two?
- Even if only one version of game installed, have you checked the registry 'InstallFolder' path is correct? (see previous post).
- Out of interest, are you using a 'mods' folder?
- Provide a full (all files) screenshot of the contents of your main game folder ('Grand Theft Auto V', where 'GTA5.exe' is) & one for the contents of your 'scripts' folder too. Thanks
Also, make sure OpenIV plugins are installed. OpenIV > 'Tools' tab > 'ASI Manager' > & make it look like this (you can install opencamera too if you want):
Once the game loads, perhaps try hitting 'Insert' on your keyboard a few times to see if any scripts load (usually get a message bottom left confirming).
I only have 1
Yes, it is correct
Yes, I do, for my lspdfr shit

I have everything in the asi manager installed. I also pressed insert on my keyboard and nothing happens
Edit: Here is my scripthookv.log:

All these scripts & their accompanying files should be in the 'scripts' folder:
- 'Lively World.dll'
- 'Tow Service.dll'
Also, 'IndicateMeV.dll' & 'RealTimeSyncReborn.dll' (you get realtime syncing in most trainers now so probably not needed) should be in your ragepluginhook plugins folder
There may have been others that I have missed. I suggest you go through all the script mods you have installed & make sure they are all installed correctly with all dependancies & that they are in the correct location
If you are still having problems after that, paste the contents of the 'ScriptHookV.log' & any other '.log' files you find in the main 'Grand Theft Auto V' folder to Pastebin & share the links to them here.
From what you posted it doesn't look like ScriptHookVDotNet is being loaded?! Have you got this installed?
@a63nt-5m1th Yea I have visual studio installed. I think I have the most recent one. Is it supposed to be the 2013 one?
It's just the 'Visual C++ Redistributable Packages for Visual Studio 2013', you don't need to have Visual Studio installed to use it. ScriptHookVDotNet just needs it installed to access run-time components from it as it the was built using Visual Studio 2013.
You can see if you have it installed already by checking your installed programs. Here's what mine looks like:
Won't do any harm to install it again anyway & for modding you really want to grab them all & install them as they will just sit there doing nothing for the most part until they are needed by a mod/program/script etc.
Hopefully, installing Visual C++ Redistributable Packages for Visual Studio 2013 & moving the '.dll' script mods fixes your issues. Let me know how you get on. Best of luck
I had a newer visual c ++ installed so I went back to 2013 and now my scripts load perfectly. I appreciate your time and assistance to help me load my scripts 👍
No probs. Glad you got them working
