Can you change a car skin online?

Hi so I have seen that people say you could replace or change a gta 5 online car skin so for example the bullet gt will skin would end up being a real life ford gt skin. Is this in fact possible or have they changed it so I would get banned if I change a cars skin for online ? Thank you

@Arodriguez253 you will be definitely banned for any mods using on online...for this purpose are special FiveM servers where is all server content modded so you should look up for that...I have no experiences with it
