Help with changing replaced vehicle names in-game

Hopefully this is the correct section to post this in, please let me know if it's not.
So I've been searching everywhere for this and I'm still not finding a solid answer. I'm trying to replace a few vehicles here and there but I can't figure out how to get the in-game vehicle name to display properly anymore. About 6 months ago I remember being able to do this but I'm thinking maybe a recent update has prevented that from being as easy or maybe I'm just forgetting to do something else.
I'm trying to change the Bravado Buffalo S display name to the '12 Charger SRT8 title shown here. Took a while to find the changed Buffalo2 hex code since it had been changed to such in the 'I'm Not A Hipster' update from vanilla. I've also rechecked the vehicle.meta but can't remember if I need to change anything in here either. I'm trying to be as minimally invasive as possible with changing information since I don't want to mislabel something and just have the display name get all jacked up.
If anyone is able to refresh my memory or even let me know what all I need to change that would be great. Thanks!

@OfficialBlackbeard If you mean the name the game shows when you enter a vehicle, I believe that you need to change that in the vehicles.meta. The entry is gamename or ingame name I dont remember right off. But you will see it in there.

You have to match the vehiclename in vehicles.meta to a same entry in global.gxt2

@OfficialBlackbeard was some time I was last time replacing vehicles, but if I remember right, just renaming in vehicles.meta didn't help. But same as renaming name of places and weapons the vehicles are able to rename in global.gxt2 . Location of the main global file is
update > update.rpf > x64 > data > lang > your language (for example american_rel.rpf) and there is the file.
Here just find the name of you vehicle and rename it, may be more times than one so take care rename all. There are also story conversations so if that care is mentioned in any conversation during story, you can replace also that and they will call it in the story by 'right', your new name (:
