Help editing Gameconfig.xml
-
I'm looking for some help modifying Gameconfig.xml, as I am having trouble getting custom maps/ymaps to work (they are crashing the game on startup, as per this troubleshooting post - https://forums.gta5-mods.com/topic/25184/problems-installing-custom-maps-ymap).
I am searching online and finding plenty of information about what values to alter to add more vehicles (and even peds). I am finding nothing ymap-related though. Does anyone have any idea what numbers I may need to change to prevent my crashing issue?

not by head as it's been a while since I edited my gameconfig.xml myself frankly
couldn't hurt experimenting with incremental changes to
<Poolname>Building<\Poolname>
<PoolName>DwdStore</PoolName>
<PoolName>MapDataStore</PoolName>
you could download dilapidated's updated .xml and do a side-by-side comparison next to a vanilla .xml and see the changes?

@ReNNie Thanks, I'll give it a shot. I'll have a look at Delapidated's too and see what he does. However, my game still crashes when I use his.

@ReNNie I experimented with the values you listed, and also had a look at Delapidated's gameconfig.xml for more I could change. All I have tried so far has failed.
Having looked at Delapidated's gameconfig.xml, I have noticed his numbers are quite high. And I've read somewhere not to make gameconfig numbers too high, so I don't want to go too much higher than his. This leads me to thinking my issue might not be with gameconfig at all (although I will not completely rule it out yet).
Thanks again. Please let me know if anything else comes to mind..

@corvus1322 to see if ymaps themselves run fine on your end I'd advise you to use Jrod's Protagonist Garage to test
Maybe the ones you're trying to import have an issue?

@ReNNie Ok, so I gave this a go with Jrod's garages. The game started up without crashing, and the mod works. So I thought you must've been onto something.
However...
I then put the original ymap I am try to load back into the file and the game started up, but I just can't see it. Seeing as I made it and it's my first, I may have done something wrong. But for some reason now, since I've turned my PC back on, GTA V is suddenly starting - I don't know why.
I'm stumped, but I can't say I'm unhappy.

@ReNNie Success! I needed to create a manifest.ymf and it is now added to my game (without collision, but I'll figure that out). Thanks for all your help.
