Scuba diving mod with flippers & MB animations?

  • Hey guys!

    Ever since I completed the "Monkey Business" mission in GTAV on the Xbox 360 years ago, I've always wanted to free roam scuba dive with the complete scuba gear, flippers and animations from that mission. But unfortunately, Rockstar made a very poor choice buy not allowing players to free roam with the complete scuba gear.

    Now, years later, I have gone over to PC. I'm quite new to GTAV modding, but I have OpenIV, ScripthookV, ScripthookVDotNet, Native, and Enhanced Native Trainer installed and working.

    So, I thought maybe there is a mod for allowing you to free roam with the complete scuba gear, with flippers and animations from the MB mission, or if you can enable all this in the Enhanced Native Trainer somehow.

    Anyone know if this is possible, or if a mod exists for this?

  • @Sakishiro At some point during the story you get access to the scuba outfit, but it's basically just a wetsuit. If you spawn the Nagasaki Dinghy and jump out of it into the water, it adds a mask and an oxygen tank but no flippers. Kinda disappointing seeing as there is so much water to explore.

  • @LeeC2202 Yeah, I know about this. It really sucks that you just swim as usual with the regular animations, and with no flippers :(

  • @Sakishiro What we need is the ability to play animations backwards, so we could use the walk animation in reverse. Whilst not accurate, it's about as close as I can think of to the required leg motion. You could couple that with an idle top half which would put the arms by the side, with the occasional normal swim animation every now and again... and a pair of modded shoes of course.

    It would be a complete hack and probably wouldn't look that great but until we get the ability to mod the animations, it's a bit tough.

    Considering they give you the mask and tank, along with a submersible, flippers and an animation sequence would seem like a logical addition.

  • @LeeC2202 Ah ok, so It's not possible to activate and use animations from specific missions in free roam yet. Damn :(

  • @Sakishiro Oh wait... so that was a mission in this game? Sorry, with you saying on 360 years ago I automatically thought it was an older game. :blush: I forget there was a big gap between initial release and the PC release.

    If the animations exist in this game, then I see no reason why they can't be forced on through a mod. Not sure how to do it myself mind you. And you definitely get flippers as well in the mission? I might just have a browse through the files, see what I can find.

    And that will let you create and save outfits for the players, as an example, here's Trevor in full scuba gear, including flippers.

    Add that line to the skincontrol.ini file and you will be able to load it from the SkinControl menu in-game.

    You will probably need to turn on infinite oxygen in the trainer to stop you running out of air.

    You should be able to do the same thing for the other characters... and from what I saw, it does seem to switch in different animations but I'm not sure if it is all the animations.

    Edit: Although until ScriptHookV is updated, you won't be able to run Skin Control. I just have two GTAV installs, so I was able to test it in my rolled back version.
