Enhanced Native Trainer Controller Binding Issues
-
So I'm trying to play with a Controller, Keyboard, and Wheel, and Joystick with respective mods allowing me to use them. However I'm having an issue with ENT where they keyboard binds are correct, but on controller the menu is just set to the "A" button. It's caused me a lot of frustration with general in-game actions such as running when the menu keeps flashing in and out. When checking the config file it doesn't have the "A" button bound to ENT Menu at all so I'm really stumped on why it's happening.

Same issue right now but for me, it's making me mad because I didn't have that issue for the last 20 sessions of GTA V that I've played and haven't installed or modified anything but suddenly when trying to simply drive it's like ENT is receiving input. At first I thought it was just the fuel consumption function being affected til I opened ENT with F4 and while driving, ENT now flashes really fast. When I'm on foot for some reason this doesn't happen! That's what's so confusing to me! I'm going to back up the ENT config, delete the one in my GTA V folder and see if it's the config causing this problem. If it is then when I start fresh it should stop flashing... if it's the mod itself or maybe some other mod suddenly conflicting with it... It's going to be a headache to figure out I'm sure..

OK so I just went into ENT with F4 as usual but then (and I did this because of a hunch that it might be the AIR BRAKE feature of ENT) I decided to go ahead and go into the Miscellaneous Options tab... On page 3 of 4 I found the "Air Brake" tab, hit that and then... I SIMPLY DISABLED IT, backed out with F4, got in a vehicle, brought ENT back up with F4 (to test theory) and when I started holding R2/L2 or Cross (A on XBOX) (LT/RT on XBOX) I noticed the flicker was GONE!
SO IN CONCLUSION, YOU NEED TO DISABLE AND RE-ENABLE THE AIR BRAKE FUNCTION INSIDE OF ENT!!! At least, this is what fixed it for me! I had been trying for about HALF AN HOUR to fix this problem and this whole time I was just Disabling/Re-Enabling "Turn off all controller Input in Trainer" inside of the Miscellaneous > Trainer Options tab, yet the option I really needed to disable and re-enable was the Air Brake... Smh! Don't know how it got corrupted or somethin' but yeah. That's a first! At least next time (if there is a next time) ENT starts to Flicker, I'll know it's more than likely the ol' "Enable Air Brake" setting again.
EDIT: I think OP's issue was a bit different now that I read it again but I'm still going to leave my answer/problem here in case anyone else has a problem with a FLICKERING ENT MENU WHILE TRYING TO HOLD THE LT/RT L2/R2/ OR X/A buttons on a gamepad.
The Problem: FLICKERING ENT (Enhanced Native Trainer) and AIR BRAKE MENU WHILE HOLDING/PRESSING THE LT/RT L2/R2/ AND/OR X/A buttons on a gamepad.
The solution is: Disable and Re-enable the Air Brake function located in "Miscellaneous Options" > "Air Brake"
