Games crashes again. :(

    Sigh. Finally decided to upgrade, for the new casino stuff. Upgraded all trainers, the ScripthookV* stuff, everything, as per usual. But game crashes with Gameconfig.xml 4.0 Diamond Casino DLC, while loading. All pertinent logs report no error, as usual. And game crashes even faster with my previous dilapidated gameconfig.

    Lovely. What a piece of crap game this really is.

    In vain, no doubt, but does anyone have a working gameconfig they can recommend?

  • @meimeiriver STOP upgrading YOUR game!!!! Check your event viewer log. If it is a status access violation, it means something in this update, has new entries in vanilla file/s that your older files, in your mods folder, doesn't have. I remember upgrading from Import/Export to Super sport, I found at least a couple files that I needed to merge new entries into, so all was compatible.That may be your situation.

    I really wanted the casino penthouse. :)

    But guess what? Thanks to you, the game is starting up again! The Event Viewer namely showed the actual error took place in EnableMPCars.asi. Once I removed that, the game starts again. :)

    So, then my followup question would be, what currently replaces EnableMPCars.asi? The latest version (the one I had) is apparently from 2017 already.

  • @meimeiriver There is not a replacement for EnableMPCars.asi. It's not needed anymore and hasn't been for a very long time. Just use https://www.gta5-mods.com/scripts/simple-trainer-for-gtav and things will be just fine. Also, you can upgrade your game. Just make backups so when the new DLCs come out you can roll back until SHV and the mods you use get updated for comparability and then roll the updates forward and you'll be on the latest stuff with working mods.

    Stop Bitching about Scripthook V Updates every time Rockstar drops a new DLC that "breaks" your game. Learn to back up your shit and be patient while Alexander Blade works on it.

    Thanks. :) Shortly after posting this, I learned the ability of EnableMPCars.asi has been 'absorbed', as it were, by Simple Trainer (possibly Menyoo too?). So it's all good. :)

    The Event Log showed me EnableMPCars.asi as 'Faulting module path:', which was fortunate, as normally you get to see nothing, anywhere.

    I am not exactly new to this, and have done the upgrade process many times (including rollbacks). I had kept my game frozen, as it were, since, well, since EnableMPCars.asi was still working. :) But when the new casino came out, I finally decided to do a (hopefully last) upgrade, once again. An upgrade which went rather flawless, actually, except for EnableMPCars.asi no longer working. But I visited the new apartments already, and they're gorgeous, and everything else works again too. :)

    Thanks. :) Like I said, the upgrade itself actually went flawlessly; but I hadn't checked the Event Log, as it normally just says gta5.exe crashed. :P And my overall mistrust of the upgrade process (I mean, when does it ever go smoothly?) caused me to assume the worst.

  • @meimeiriver There is this other plugin called heistvehicles.asi I use, and it still works. Also, you can add any vehicle from any DLC to either vehiclemodelsets or popgroups to get them to spawn naturally in your game. That is what I am doing.
