Would this be possible? Sometimes I like a comment but figure it's a bit overkill to just reply "Thanks!" or something.

@ikt We can give a like and rate 5 stars if we like a mod, but the main site isn't created for discussions, that's why @rappo created the forums site. Your idea is not bad, but it's up to rappo to decide.
