Downloads a notepad script and not a .zip?

i really need help with this problem: Every time i go to a mod page and download it... it always downloads a notepad script and not a .zip with the actual mod. I am trying to find ways to change it through the site but can't find any. Can anyone help me?

The problem is likely with your computer. You may have set the default program to open ZIP/RAR files to Notepad. Simply right-click the file, click Open With, then click Windows Explorer/7zip/WinRAR.
