Infinite Loading Screen after certain number of mods is installed
-
So, 5 days ago I was working on one of my mods, when I restarted the game it refused to load and got stuck forever in the loading screen.
Turns out if I reduce the number of vehicle mods I have installed the game loads
When the mod count is higher than 6 mods it has infinite loading screen
I tried changing the gameconfig.xml and the one you can download in 5mods doesn't do anything, the vanilla one makes the game crash obviously
I tried reinstalling the game
I tried deleting the update.rpf on mods folder and making a new one with openiv and still nothing
if the mod count is higher than 5-6 the game just refuses to load and remains stuck in the loading screen
and it's frustrating cause I've NEVER had this problem till now

@neogeo39 https://forums.gta5-mods.com/topic/13256/how-to-ask-for-help-and-support
Also, you're using badly optimized cars. I've had 17 addon cars on a vanilla game config, but had to go through and add them one at a time and test, because some would cause crashes. Removed the newly added bad car and went on to adding a different car. Repeated until I got to 17 and then I just quit trying to see what the vanilla config could handle.
Which gameconfig did you try? There's more than one available on the site.

Im using this https://de.gta5-mods.com/misc/gta-5-gameconfig-300-cars
It's very important to install

@Justme2000 that's exactly what I've always had installed, and of couse up to date
it's just that one day the game stopped working properly and got infinite loading screens with more than 6 mods installed
-
@neogeo39 And are you sure that it is the number of vehicle mods?
-
@Justme2000 I think so
I tried unistalling all of them and then adding them 1 by 1
when I reached around 6 the game started getting infinite loadings

@neogeo39 Read the link in my first post of this thread and then provide info. Difficult to help if we don't know what game version you are on, what cars you have tried to install, other mods, etc. Post a screenshot of your dlclist.xml.
-
@chonkie Game version is the most recent, I think is 1.0.1737.6
This is the dlclist.xml https://pastebin.com/vCf7Emh8I tried reinstalling the entire game, deleting and creating a new update.rpf with openiv, changed the ArchiveCount on gameconfig.xml, used a variety of gameconfig.xml avaible on GTA5Mods
and I don't know anymore, I need help, this problem has stopped development of my work for 2 weeks now.

@neogeo39 Can it be that only one car of this pack causing the bug? I mean without the pack it is working fine, right?
-
@neogeo39 You have quite a few addon mods, if a gameconfig isn't helping, do like Npk said and merge some of the cars into one dlcpack. That will help if done correctly. Maybe remove the ones you aren't needing for the particular job you are doing at the moment.

@chonkie yep that's a solution I came up with but the bad side is that I can only play singleplayer for testing my work and not for anything else
Hope I can find a solution soon...
