GTA V Updates Folder not Working
-
Hey Everyone,
Kinda have a weird issue here... Any mods in the update folder won't work, weather its a replacement vehicle or an addon. The issue is happening in both the standard update folder and the mods\update folder... the really weird thing is that the x64e.rpf in the mods folder works perfectly fine as well as the update.rpf, I'm really stumped, I've even tried install mods onto a clean install of the game still with no luck... hoping someone can help me out! Thanks!

I have had the same problem.
Looks like you had too many mods installed and your GTA just cant handle them, so it doesnt use the mods int the update folders.
To solve that delete your mods folder and simply create a new one.

That would never happen... if you install something like LA Roads, Redux and car packs, you can end up with pretty much every game file in the mods folder and the game will still work. You can never create a situation where there are too many mods for the game to use.
@jjwb96 Check your ScriptHookV.log file, asiloader.log and openiv.log files, see if anything is failing to load for any reason.
You should never modify files in the standard update folder if you can help it, those are your backups if things go wrong.

Have you tried updating your update folder through OpenIV since the newest update came out? If you didn't, you need to otherwise it is outdated. Just throwing out shots here, this is a problem that is obvious but most people don't think of...
