Glowing/illuminating clothes

So im a newbie at 3dsmax and I would like to know how to make parts of a model glowing. For example a shirt with text. How do i make the text on that shirt glowing/illuminating? Do I just edit the textures? Or do I need to somehow add The glowing to model

Change the shader to ped emissive
Then you have to paint the vertex to pink (255, 186, 255)
Then you have to edit the texture, set opacity to 1 on the parts you don't want to glow

Hi, I would like to know more information on this topic. I was trying to do it from texture and not from 3ds max. In practice I added the glow effect on the texture made on photoshop but nothing, is it possible to better understand how it works?

No matter what I export using this GIMS, clothing is unrigged after the export. The model is untouched and all I do is import from the game a vanilla clothes, import it with the SKEL file of mp freemode male, and export, yet everything bugs out. https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/989455582773784576/1038860372880404661/image.png
