DLCLIST.XML
-
Hello everyone, I messed up my dlclist.xml and now my game won't start.
I also tried the gameconfig method but it also didnt work.
If someone could link me a original dlclist.xml that would be great, thanks.

@MWRaed Thats not allowed, you shouldhave made a mods folder or made a backup, sorry
-
@MWRaed If you didn't use a mods folder, simply verify the game files through Steam or the shortcut options if you have the retail version and it will put back the original files.

@LeeC2202 I actually wrote it manually by myself once, just for fun. I've been messing with vehicle files so much, I can actually write a vehicles.meta or handling section of a vehicle all by myself, instead of copying and editing the values of another vehicle.
@MWRaed Here's a tip. Download an add-on mod. Usually there's a modified dlclist in it. Just remove the mod dlclist line and you are good to go.

@MWRaed How do you mess up your dlclist.xml?
the only thing you have to do when using a mod that requires you to edit it is add a new line to it lol

I too am having trouble it all started after the update and now my game loads but if my crashes it because of the dlclist because when I restore the dlclist its fine but when I use the line it freezes so idrk what to do

@Akila_Reigns They're a fairly simple XML file as long as you know what the original contents should be. I wouldn't fancy writing one from scratch... not with my memory.
I copy and paste because I do that much typing when I'm writing mods, it's nice to be lazy sometimes.

@LeeC2202 I know that
It's just that I'm incredibly bored these days. My final exams are over, the results will be out in December or January. These days I just play games, watch movies and do lame stuff like writing a dlclist by myself...

@Akila_Reigns Nothing wrong with a relaxed lifestyle, that's for sure. Enjoy it while you've got chance to do so... have fun.
