All mods are the newest versions as of 12/27/19.

Now, in certain situations (always seems to be when the police want me dead) any vehicle I enter will not move.

For example, I found a Gruppe 6 truck that some workers were driving (NOT a randomly-occurring one that gives you cash if you blow the doors open, this was one that spawned near a bank and didn't give any money). I shot at it and killed the driver with a headshot. The police were right behind me. As I got into the Gruppe 6 truck I tried to accelerate but the vehicle did not move. The engine was running when I first got in (dead driver never shut it off).

I got out and got back in to see if that would fix it, and now the engine doesn't start at all. And it's not like the vehicle is all beat up, it's in pretty good condition.

I actually had to remove my wanted level w/ Menyoo just so the police couldn't unfairly kill me.

Here's a video of the truck not moving. I had to move it elsewhere using Spooner so that the other car engines around me wouldn't be distracting: https://streamable.com/xkyw4

I don't know if it's a setting I haven't changed yet back to normal or what. I'm really not sure what triggers this. Has anyone else experienced this issue, and might know how to fix it? Any insight to solving this would be greatly appreciated.

  • I have discovered something related to this. Whenever I press X (my default duck head button), it toggles the engine power. Do any of these mods sound like they might include that?

I discovered that it was Manual Transmission that was causing the issue. I edited the settings_controls.ini and under [KEYBOARD] changed Engine = X to Engine = F14 (yes F14 is a legit key).

Now when I press X to duck in vehicles the engine does not shut off!

Hopefully this post will be helpful to someone else in the same boat as I was.
