A lot of work payed off. WOW (huge mod compilation)

First I updated my graphics driver using DDU & all of my texture loading issues went away!
So! I spent the better part of last week digging through Project Reload & replacing ALL of the road textures with ones from LA Roads.
Then, installed HD desert motification (witch used different .ytd files than project reload)
Then, I took my favoriate vegetation textures in x64i (procedural & vegetation folders) using Project Reload, Vegetation Overhaul & REDUX. I put them all into LA vegetation (Best grass blades imo).
Then, installed the increased grass density mod (4x) & REDUXs branchbend_maxshadersetting.xml & branchwindsetting.xml
I can honestly say that after I installed the latest visualV with RHancer ontop & REDUX's tonemapping values in visualsettings.dat that my GTAV is near photorealistic.
Just wanted to share my success story & tell all of you guys to keep at it! Keep trying & experimenting! Also, thank you to every modder who gave me the tools to make my gaming fantasys a reality!
Average 48 fps everywhere.

@Weirdoutworld Nah, you should have used visualv's visualsettings.dat and used naturalvision
-
@bur587 I do have visualV visualsettings.dat but with redux tone mapping values. More dark & filmic. I like that a little more. Like how project reload & vegetation overhauls textures are darker.
-
@bur587 im checking out natural vision now. I also kept project reloads damaged concrete textures to. The 1 thing i didnt like aboit LA Roads... everything was mint. Might not be just like LA but I like it. Makes the city look like it has aged.
-
@Weirdoutworld thats weird.
-
@Weirdoutworld A bright mint?
-
@bur587 no, LA Roads damaged roads textures were brighter & less cracked than project reloads. I have project reloads damaged roads textures ontop of LA Roads textures. With Reduxes tone mapping values it really looks amazing. To me.
LA Roads textures are brighter than stock. Project reloads textures (dirt, rock, grass, roads are darker & grittier) combined they really give the map diversaty. The ghetto (groove st. Area) looks dirtier & vinewood hills looks cleaner.
Its perfect imo.
-
This sounds amazing, any chance you would put this into a pack for newer scripters to use aka myself haha.
Obviously dont make REDUX mistake and call it your own work but sounds like you have more patience than I (and probably alot of people on here) to even attempt this.
I can only just get my head round what certain files do.
-
@Weirdoutworld Can you make a video please? Or at least provide pictures? I'm really curious how it looks.
-
@RDC74656 Sorry man. Im not allowed to upload a pack with any of these textures. I wish I could for you guys.
You just need to open your installed .rpf - .ytd files in openIV, then in a NEW openIV window open the modded files. Any modded texture you want to use just drag it to the desktop, then into your file. 1 by 1. Do each .rpf -to- .ytd file in order. Keep a log in notepad of your progress & where you are at. Then do it ALL over again with the other mods. LOL
OR!
Just install LA Roads & its patches, then project reload, then HD desert motification. Youll still have a LOT of roads on the map using the LA textures.

@Marcel2015 Soon...... im getting my ENB & ReShade exactaly where I want it.
-
@Weirdoutworld maybe privately
....
So if i follow your little guide as above...what benefits/differences should i see
-
Damn my cell phone for double posting... lol
-
@RDC74656 HD Map diversity my friend! Instead of LA Roads making every road in the game shiney & new & Project Reload making some of the stock(damaged/dirty) city road textures HD you'll have HD dirty damaged concrete textures & LA Roads will fill the gaps in the rest of the map. Project Reload also makes most of the desert & woodland ground textures HD.
Just install project Reload after/ontop of LA Roads.
Then the HD desert motification mod (uses different files than the others dont forget)
Then build your own, x64i/vegetation/procedural/v_proc1.rpf
X64i/vegetation/vegetation (whole folder)
Out of Project Reload, LA Vegetation & Vegetation Overhaul mods...If you have a kick ass PC & geel feisty use the 5k vegetation mod on this site. Search "trees", its the first mod.
-
I should have never started modding GTAV...
The level of OCD it gives me is going to make my head explode. lol
-
@RDC74656 The little guied I double posted earlier is for x64i.rpf (90% of the vegetation in the game)
-
@Weirdoutworld to take the strain out of me asking you various newbie questions. Do you think google will tell me what the different x###.rpf are for?
-
@Weirdoutworld said in A lot of work payed off. WOW (huge mod compilation):
my GTAV is near photorealistic.
Cool. Can you share some screenshots?
-
@Akila_Reigns yea. Soon. I suck at taking screenshots but they are coming.
-
@Frazzlee @Akila_Reigns @RDC74656
I was successful in adding Raiders violence overhauls blood pools to CSYON's BloodV mod! 2 best blood mods IMO
I had to ADD (not replacing) the pool porus solid textures from raiders into BloodV's graphics.ytd. Then added raiders #blood# values from his decals.dat into my own decals.dat.
Now I have CSYON's blood splatters with Raiders blood pools!
Its beautiful...
lol
-
@Weirdoutworld It's nice that you have fun with your compilation, but let us participate in sharing screenshots or video. Not everyone has the cpu/ gpu power for playing your compilation, so please.
