A lot of work payed off. WOW (huge mod compilation)

@Weirdoutworld The grass in the 6th picture (in this ^^ post) looks interesting... the rest weren't what I was expecting. Do they look better in the game?
-
-
@LeeC2202 I've always been bad at trying to get good screenshots. I'm learning & having fun. What else could I ask for? lol Thanks for not telling me "It sucks, quit" haha
-
Just for fun, to try to relieve all the disappointment ... There's nothing like chasing a train on the hiway with a wing suit & explosive laser vision... lol
-
@Weirdoutworld I would never tell anyone to quit, or that it sucks. It's all about making the game how you want it, so you should enjoy that.
-
@LeeC2202 the grass is using Project Reloads grasslod & grassshadow .xml files.
Also, LA vegetation textures. Green grasses & urban grass I beleive.
-
@Weirdoutworld I might have a look for those (not the vegetation textures, just that grass), I like things that add ground texture and that looks quite nice.
-
ive not attempted anything like previously discussed yet.... i'm trying to pick up the courage
Question, are you using 'mods' folder or not?
2nd question, what is the 'mods' folder actually doing?
-
@Weirdoutworld Fire textures are great, where did you get it?
-
@RDC74656 yes. ALWAYS use a mods folder. That way you leave all of your actual x64.rps's as backups. Also modding the main .rpf's will make the game redownload them as stock when you launch the game.
OpenIV uses any files in the mods folder over the files in the actual directory. The .rpf's will be copied from your directory to the mods folder, then modded using an OIV package.
-
@Akila_Reigns unfortunately REDUX's core.ypt. lol like ive said before on this site, REDUX does have very useful, never before seen files. Not all are stolen.
-
@LeeC2202 possibly lowering the resolution of the pics to get them to post here made them look "eh". All the grass, roads & rock are super sharp in game.
-
Btw, I play on my laptop & did not have the charger near me when I captured these pics last night. Thats why my FPS counter looks HORRID lol
-
-
@Weirdoutworld It's not the sharpness I don't like, it's the colours/contrast. The textures look fine sharpness wise.
-
@RDC74656 once you play with openIV & get the hang of it, you will kick yourself for not doing it earlier. Its easy man. Just experiment & download the mod "no intro launch otf" because your going to be in & out of the game... A LOT haha
-
@LeeC2202 Yea, that vibrancy value just screams at me to be raised everytime I lower it. Ha

I don't normally post screens but as I always seem to be the party-pooper, I thought it might help if people see what I am used to seeing in my game... or at least one version of it anyway.
Saturation wise, this is bordering on my limit, I could probably live with it a little lower.
-
@LeeC2202 Nice shots. The shadow casted by the side mirror of the Huracan is a little low quality. Do you use soft shadows?
-
@Akila_Reigns Yep.
-
It's funny watching people nit-pick at details when there are people like myself quite happy with a sturdy 30fps at low/med settings
