PED Gta 5: Flaking mesh in motion
I created a new Ped for GTA 5, but when this Ped is in motion the mesh flakes off (see photo).
Do you know why ?
@Sun2k Delete vertices(red dots) that don’t move right and simply “strip” parts you deleted to how they were. When you “strip”, the program automatically creates a new weight for it which will move how you want it to move. It’s magic.
Go to Create, and hit strip and strip away! Try to create the same shape as sometimes when you apply the texture, it might become messed up, but it rarely happens.
For the 2nd pic, the solution is the same thing as above, but you don’t “strip” as the pants is already covering up the deleted parts so it would look as you didn’t need to edit anything.
Or you can “strip” the deleted parts, assuming you are able to toggle off the pants for easy stripping, but otherwise not stripping for this part would be easier and less time consuming.
Thank you for helping me
Here's what I did:
1 / I have selected all the polygons (see photo 1)
2 / I deleted the polygons which do not move with the "modify / delete" tool (see photo 2)
3 / When I use the "Strip" tool by clicking on the deleted polygons, nothing happens.
Am I doing things right?
@Sun2k when you strip, you go into “vertex” mode.
Also I recommend deleting parts a few at a time then stripping. Makes the process a little easier as if you delete everything, you may not get the leg shape correct and possibly starting over.
You could on the other hand manually weight paint it, but I’m not a professional at so I can’t really do anything for you there.
If you find this difficult, you can just re-rig the legs by positioning them almost identical to whatever ped you used to transfer weights.
Also use the “reply” button as your reply won’t show up on my notifications.
I deleted only one polygon then in vertex mode I did the strip (it makes triangles inside the mesh) ..
Know a video tutorial?
I have a question to understand:
Is the problem of the polygons that do not follow the movement of the pedal it is because the weight has not been transferred to these polygons or is it because the mesh is in high resolution and subdivision 2?
