Addon Cars' LED Lights are Too Bright

  • alt text

I have installed the NVR's optional No Corona file. So, There is no corona for vehicles.

Tried to change daylights values from visualsettings but didn't work. What settings do I need to change to fix this?

  • I almost figured it out.

I tried to change indicator lights' intensity. It did work. Here's the result:

    BUT

When I change the time via trainer. Settings suddenly reset themselves.

Don't know what to do. Any idea?

  • CHECK THE REPLY DOWN BELOW

I noticed that happens because author's settings.

I'm using tk0wnz's 2016 Dodge Challenger . For this one, follow this path:

    mods>update>x64>dlcpacks>16challenger>dlc.rpf>common>data

Find carcols.meta and use CTRL+F combination. Type "Lights" and you'll see indicator tags (<indicators> </indicators>)

Probably, the Intensity settings is the what you looking for. But it didn't work for me. I mean, 'buggy'.

I have no idea how you got the light surrounds to dim using the carcols indicator intensity at all?!
Those 'intensity' values are for the intensity of the light produced (ie onto the environment).
The only value in carcols that affects the visual brightness of the actual light fittings/glass on the vehicle is:

<emmissiveBoost value="false/true"/> ('true' making the light fittings/glass appear slightly brighter)

    16challenger:
    Anyway, here's your 16challenger fix
Download this lights_lod0.dds & replace the original in the '16challenger.ytd'

If you want to edit the brightness again yourself, just edit the brightness/darkness of this rectangle in 'lights_lod0.dds'.

    Light Surround Texture Location

To edit the file, if you don't have a program to open '.dds' files, just install 'lights_lod0.dds' using OpenIV & then use OpenIV's Texture Editor to export it as a '.png' instead

    Further Issues?:
Are you having 'lights too bright' issues with a lot of other cars or just a few? Only add-ons or are vanilla/replacers affected too? Is it headlights in general, or tail lights/indicators only affected etc?
As much info as possible on the specifics of the problem will allow me to target an applicable solution (rather than me going though every light setting in the game one by one until we find what works :watch: ).
If you need more assistance for more cars etc, the more info you provide, the better :thumbsup:

I don't know how can I thank you. You're the best! But how did you know a rectangle work? There is nothing there in original file.
