How can you have multiple colors appear if you replace a vehicle with livery (like sprunk buffalo)?

The replaced vehicles (which originaly come only with liveries) always come with white body and the same color rims (green for sprunk buffalo). I've changed the carvariations.meta but nothing changed. Does it need a change to carcols.meta too? And if so, which parameter to change? Thanks
