OpenIV doesnt find GTA5.exe
-
Because I had problems with some mods I uninstalled gta V. I reinstalled it and first of all I had the problem with the launcher. The installation said I should visit a rockstar page to solve the launcher problem. I installed the new launcher, finished installation and logged in. Started game to test it. First message from the social club launcher.... I would modify the game so i cant enter online. everything cool but.. no, i didnt even installed any mods. I just installed it and instantly started it. There were no mods installed???!
Next step was to install openiv. when i selected GTA V on Windows I had to select the game folder cointaining gta5.exe. I searched for it myself, found the game folder and somehow there was missing the gta5 launcher.exe and the gta5.exe. I copied the path in openiv and openiv said there is no gta5.exe. Then I reinstalled the game again, uninstalled the launcher. Every problem again. There is no gta5.exe but the game is working. When I follow the installation path of the gta file i would propably start if i start the game isnt even the gta5.exe file. instad of its the playgta.![

So this might seem really tedious at first but is there a gta5.exe in just the regular folder through file explorer? I'm just thinking maybe you should make a folder on your desktop called 'test' and put the exe in that folder and try to see if OpenIV can recognise it there... If it does it could just be an error on their side and you might want to fully uninstall openiv and reinstall it or there is the alternative, use Codewalker.. its the same as openiv but it has more features! Only downside is it isn't very user friendly but then again it is mainly used to edit car paths and make cool MLO interiors you see on this site
