Installing Addon Cars
-
So I got myself some Addon cars, trying to spawn them with either the Addon Spawner, which should detect addon cars by itself, or by typing in the car names in menyoo. Both ways dont work for me so something went wrong. Edited the dlclist.xml, placed the folders into dlcpacks, watched some tutorials again to reasure, if something is out of place. I guess im just blind, but i cant find the issue. Here are the screenshots: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/faa6mumqg4nabwt/AACWZzgVJGpWsPEZa8wyD0lEa?dl=0
I really hope you guys can help me..

Why aren't your addons in the mods folder? Move your addon folders to Grand Theft Auto V\mods\update\x64\dlcpacks.
-
Because I already tried it this way, did not work too. My first thought was, this was the problem. But I guess its not.
-
It should work that way.

I updated the link from the first post, did what you told me to do. The path is correct, right?
Maybe the way I try to spawn the cars is incorrect? So in Menyoo I go to Vehicle Spawner → Input model and type the names of the cars. For example I tried club, niner, italigtc, fmjgte. It tells me "Error. Invalid Model". If I use the Addon Spawner, from what I remember, the Addon Cars should be in the "Search vehicles" → "Search in Addon Vehicles" list, just like the "Game vehicles", listed underneath. But for me, its empty. Slept over it, still cant find the issue. It drives me mad.

@grg270b Maybe use another Trainer and see if it works, like this one: https://www.gta5-mods.com/scripts/simple-trainer-for-gtav
Go to vehicles, added vehicles and look for your cars.

"Added vehicles menue"? Slots 1 to 40 are "disabled". And there too, if i try to spawn by model name, nothing...

Sooo I installed a pack from Vanillaworks via OpenIV pack installer to see the difference to my files. Turns out, you gotta use backslashes instead of slashes inside the dlclist.xml. So its
dlcpacks:\italigtc
. What I did wrong, I copied the entries from above, so from the original R* dlcs, which use slashes, not backslashes. I dont get the point there, and allof the car mods I downloaded but for one had no readme's inside the .rar, but... I got it running after quite a bit of trying. Thanks anyways.

That is incorrect info about the slashes. The slashes do not matter as long as they are the same in the line in question.

dlcpacks:\italigtc\

that works and so does this
dlcpacks:/italigtc/
All of the vanilla are this way and so is everything I have added to my dlclist with no issues.

@grg270b I agree with Chonkie once you have vanilla slashes the same way, there is no chance this would be problem. But maybe depending on what did you type the spawning name of the vehicles? You have to type name of '.yft' files not dlc folder name. Don't have anything else on my mind what could be causing this
And tip, for sure keep all mods in 'mods' folder not only coz of right working but to have always backup of original files and have mods separated from them (:

@ArmaniAdnr That doesn't explain why Addon Vehicle Spawner didn't find them though.
