Merging Cars upgrades not showing

hi guys i have merg a car pack of ten car with all the ytd files etc, but when I go customs the upgrades arent showing for the cars, yet as a single file i can upgrade ?
any reasons why it does this ? I have manually aded them

It's my understanding that tuning parts don't work when the vehicle they are for is included in a vehicle pack.
